Bemis Farms Nursery — Local services in Spencer

Always a pleasant experience shopping here! My favorite time of the year (for the experience) is their autumnal shop. I have been there during the hotter summer-y months for house plant supplies, though. I’ve gotten several nice pots here. Sometimes it’s just worth the walk through to get inspired to craft. Bemis feels like a little hidden gem of Spencer Massachusetts. Last time I was there, I saw the pictures black petunias…I didn’t even though those existed! We went to Bemis Farms for our annual Build-A-Scarecrow and visit the Pumpkin Path day with my daughter and granddaughter. It was a much easier and less messy build than last year and even came with a mum, a grass plant and a pumpkin!!! Always start off an amazing Fall with a trip to Bemis Farms!!! *Just returned from the 2022 Scarecrow build and every year, the event is a little different! A nice little nursery and place to take a stroll! I purchased a few armfulls of plants from them and I’m sad that I only learned about them this spring! They had great veggie plants and a nice set of with their perennials. I do wish they had more of a variety of shade loving perennials and perhaps a section dedicated to native plants.
