First time fishing and exploring the dam. Nice area with plenty of space to have a birthday party etc. public restrooms and pavilion along with grills and picnic tables. Nice boat ramp and as you can tell in the pictures it got used that Saturday. I assume a tournament was held out of there. Water is way down this time of year and fishing is hit or miss due to weather changing. I will definitely be back as it seems like a nice area.

This spot was shown on the sign ad the observation area. We pulled off to see the dam and bridge but there was absolutely no visibility from the area due to play ts and trees having grown up. Tried to email TVA about it, no response. Don't bother stopping.

I went through the lock. The Lockmaster was very nice and shared some literature with us about locks and how they work, commercial and pleasure traffic through the lock. The information was very informative. The lock itself was very impressive in size and lift (approx 65 feet vertical lift) between Chickamauga...
