THIS BUSINESS RATES ZERO STARS! I told the salesman I was new to this area & wanted setup for inshore fishing. He advised that fishing was not good close-in currently due to the heat and that I would need to go out further. I explained I did not have a boat currently & the air immediately got chilly. I asked what would I need when the temperature dropped & fishing improved. He said that wouldn't be until October or November. Again, I asked what would I need. And again, no effort was taken to assist me. I had money in hand for a quality setup, but needed some general guidance. No effort was made to encourage me or sell the products for saltwater fishing I needed, even though there were no other customers in the shop at the time. Later, in sharing my story with other pier fishermen, I was told by a majority they had received similiar treatment at the smaller bait and tackle shops in Hernando County, and that they seem to cater to boaters rather than someone learningl or fishing on a smaller scale. Called last minute to reserve two double person kayaks when the original shop we went to was sold put, Dixie Lee held them for us. $45 for each kayak for the whole day.
