Update to owner: We told you so many times we were meeting a group on the river who OWNED THEIR OWN BOATS and we were trying to meet them and were unfamiliar with the marinas. We were never meeting them at the marina. They have a house on the river that they keep their boat at. We were asking for information and instead of providing that, you talked to us like we were trash. We are from out of town and we didn't know where to launch. We didn't know all local businesses and their jurisdictions on the marinas. I didn't even know if it was a public or private marina. All we were doing was ASKING for info. It did NOT warrant the response we got. You are wrong about your assumptions and everything else about this interaction. Your nasty attitude must be a projection of how you feel on the inside. I pray for the peace & healing that you so obviously need. Original: We have a group of people going out on the river and we needed info for locations and rentals. We are not familiar with the area. The company texted back being very rude, patronizing, and laughing at us for asking about drop off, pick up, etc....then said to let them know if we're still interested. They even said that if we dont know the answers to those questions, we dont have enough common sense to drive their boat anyway. It's insane how people treat...

We have an upcoming overnight stay on the river for my daughter’s 12th birthday, and we wanted to rent a boat for Saturday and was informed 3 days before our rental that it was given to someone else. To make arrangements I reached out over a month before the trip to rent a specific boat for our family size, and I was told by Robert that that I was on his calendar and he would reach out two days before I needed the boat. I was never informed that the boat was in jeopardy of being rented to someone else during that timeframe. I wasn’t offered an option to secure the boat any other way. If I had been informed that my rental was only secure unless a better offer came along I would have made other arrangements. If that’s the policy it should be communicated directly and on the website. Ours was cancelled on Wednesday and our trip was Saturday.

After I questioned why this happened, I was told I could wait in line at the marina very early before they open on Saturday and hope I could get a boat, or rent a larger boat from him for a multiple day rental from them, which we had already discussed I would only be on the water one day. We were left scrambling to find a boat and luckily we found another company near by. They spoke with us after hours, were so helpful and...

Hurricane Nicole came through the day before I was scheduled for my boat trip. I called Rob and was a little hesitant to keep my reservation as this was a solo trip. Instead, he highly encouraged it and said “after a hurricane is the best time to go, you’ll have the river all to yourself!” I was sold and he was absolutely right! I was able to enjoy the river and complete the 7-8 mile trip without a crowd. It was also the beginning of manatee season and the river did not disappoint. I was lucky to catch a few sightings.

Rob was professional, kind, and very knowledgeable of the river. I rented the floatable rib boat and was impressed by its sturdiness and stability; I actually prefer it over a John boat. I got stuck a couple of times due to low tide and he was able to navigate through the process with ease. He was quick to respond and checked in a few times to make sure I was safe, being that I was by myself. Thank you, Rob!
