The Box Guy — Local services in Spring Lake

I went to Kyle on a whim based on the few reviews I read here. I asked for a discreet upgrade of my factory speakers and to add subs. He shot me a couple of quotes the next day. I have an F150 Supercab. I went with the higher end quote and could not be happier. Anyone that gets in my vehicle cannot even tell it is anything but factory except for the sound quality. That was exactly what I wanted! He even installed the fuse 27 relocation kit I purchased separately for basically nothing. The dealer wanted several hundred dollars to do this. The custom box for underneath the rear seats is barely noticeable which is kind of a shame because it really looks nice. The two amps went under the passenger seat and the wiring is perfect. Again if you aren't looking for it you won't see it. Super clean install!! And lastly, it sounds awesome! Awesome experience working with The Box Guy! This was my first time utilizing this shop and it will definitely not be my last. I'm already thinking of different projects I could bring his skills in on. The end product is excellent- ported box for 2 10" subs. I didn't ask for anything special or crazy (I'm sure he can handle those too), but he still went above and beyond with the build quality and making sure the box fit perfect. Carpet looks great as well as the double baffle and rounded corners for a custom look. He built the box to the specs of the speaker so it sounds so much better than the old box I had them stuffed in. Can't recommend TheBoxGuy enough. I'll never look at another prefab box again as long as his shop is open! Thanks...

Came in for door speakers and a new radio install. Ended up having to completely redo all of the work on the speakers myself, after having terrible rattles in my doors. Was told that it would be an "additional service" to get the rattles fixed and wires secured. Not sure about the logic behind charging someone for a service and then expecting them to pay more to actually enjoy what they have already paid for. Would not recommend this business if you seek a job well done, this was a complete disappointment and the worst experience I've had dealing with anything car related. Complained about the parts I bought when he was the one that told me what parts to get. Go literally...
