El Rio Theatre — Local services in Springerville

This is an old school theater. Very long and narrow with a stage in front. Built in early 1900s. The best thing about this theater is the prices. Admission is $6 for an adult. We got a water bottle, medium popcorn and some Junior mints for another 7. Beyond this it's very uncomfortable. Old seats probably near original with no drink holder. I know so many locals who have never been here. That's unfortunate because it's a nostalgic local treasure. The shows are first run. The theater is surprisingly spacious with a gigantic screen and great sound. The staff is super friendly. 6 bucks to get in with the geezer discount. I think we paid 6 or 7 $ for a drink and popcorn.
