Central York School District — Local services in Springettsbury Township

Now I’m in the 9th grade in a different school district since 7th grade. When I compare the environment from Central to my current school, I can say that the Central York environment is a lot more comfortable and out-going compared to the no air conditioning, difficult assignments that mine does. But, the education that is given at my district is more and gives the students more opportunities, only problem is that if you finish say for an example half of geometry in 7th grade in Central York Middle School and you move to where I am, you can’t move on to the next course; they don’t even offer you a test to show that you can do it since you didn’t finish it. I really like the school district and the teachers. The only problem I see is that in the middle school parents park at the handicapped parking spot without the permit making hard for people with disabilities to access them. There’s a police officer at the school but he don’t enforce the parking situation or the problem of parents no stopping at the stop sign in front of the middle school. That is a safety issue that the police officer don’t enforce neither. Hope...

Some of the teachers are really great and I really feel like they try their best to really teach and engage the students here. The only reason why I'm giving them a three is because the high school failed to honor my daughter's 504 plan for the first 3 years of high school. Which is basically the whole time and when they did honor the plan that was apparently in her file folder the whole time buried beneath other papers, she was a Senior. Tell me what good that...
