Took in our hogs for processing. Paid way more for the processing then our normal processor, that we could not get in to. I feel we got charged double for our waste, as we were charged a scald fee (which he explained was also a waste fee since we were having our hogs skinned) and we also paid live weight (not hanging). Packaging was vacuum sealed but was done sloppy. We also had to unload our livestock from our trailer into another trailer (with a wired bottom what pigs were scared of) the transfer wasn't easy. They offered no help til almost the end when they FINALLY brought out a e-probe. When we picked up meat they were not packed into anything. We had to leave to find some large bags to dump 7 hogs worth of meat in. Some of the cuts were good but the ground pork and sausage were very dry (had to add my own fat upon cooking) and in my opinion lacked flavor. Now, the guy, very friendly and nice guy.    Read moreThis is a poor business and I would HIGHLY recommend not walking but running away. I’m not one to leave negative reviews but this processor is someone I would like everyone to be aware of. My mother/father in law brought a cow to them and they didn’t receive the meat they should have. They did not receive the full amount when picked up. Phone call after phone call no one would answer. After I made a Facebook post did someone reach out to me to “straighten it up” somehow they found a tub full of their meat and was still looking for more. So they drove all the way up to this processor again. To not even receive the rest of the amount they should have. Not only did they not receive their own meat but pretty sure this place gave them other peoples meat as well because they did not have the same number as the cow they took up and received 3 tongues....it’s a sad situation all over and I would highly recommend NOT using...
   Read moreWe dropped off a 1500 pound cow and received 268 pounds of meat back. Called Terry King regarding this matter. He said he would look into this and have his women that helps him also check into this on Monday and get back to us. He has yet to call us and we have tried to get in touch with him every day since. The person answering the phone said she doesn’t take care of this matter and refuses to help get this taken care of. He owes us another 1/2 of cow and doesn’t look like this is going to happen!!! I will never use this processor ever again and I would think twice if you are planning to take anything to to Cedar Hill Meats...
