In an ideal world, I would give this dollar general zero stars. All dollar general shoppers look forward to the Saturday where we can use our $5 off $25 coupon. However, this Saturday is something I would love to forget. My elderly mother went into this store earlier today, gathered her items to equal $25, and headed to checkout with a few coupons. (coupons which expired today, as in 11:59 TODAY) She had every single coupon loaded on her DG app ready to go. However, the cashier, without even checking, simply said “those expire today you can’t use them” which I find quite odd since they are still available to add on the app, and the fact that “expires today” means if they are not used by TODAY, then they are expired. The cashier then attempted to call his manager, well turns out the manager decided it wasn’t a big enough issue and hung up on him. Leaving him not knowing what he is doing and my elderly mother nervously waiting in line. Not to mention other customers began yelling at her to hurry up. The cashier ultimately decided to not accept her very much valid coupons & my mom walked out empty handed. It is very hard for her to drive and get around, so this was a huge inconvenience to her. Overall, worst dollar general service I have ever heard of. 0/10 would never recommend. take your business to the one on 49-I know this is going to be very difficult to believe & while it seems almost impossible someone could be this knowledgeable, they actually know how the calendar and dates work....

Went tonight around 8:45 pm to get pet food it had a 50% off sign on the isle which didn't really tell much. I went up front to ask the cashier Chasity about what was 50% off she immediately got an attitude and was smart about her question for no reason and said you only have 2 minutes I said ok im fixing to bring my stuff up she then says only 1 minute now. I ask to speak with the manager which to find out was only a key holder and he says he will take care of it. I tell him I'm going to get my stuff that was already in my basket and I want him to check me out he then proceeds to tell me he can't their closed, even though she was checking someone else out. I did get the DM number and called her, she is supposed to take care of this. This is not how people in customer service is supposed to act. I've never been treated like that before in that DG the other lady that is there is super sweet. I worked in customer service you also don't kick out customers as soon as it hits 9:00 ( it was only 8:55pm) you tell them your closing and time to come to the register. The customer service tonight was far beyond disturbing and...

They sell Microsoft gift cards and it doesn’t talk to their register system. They have no one but a manger that can do an exchange. They expect you to come back when the manager is on staff to even get your money back or an exchange card. They don’t understand by looking at the receipt is was not authorized yet, again no one can do anything about it. My son spent his money on two cards, and yet they say they can’t do anything about it. Wanda, maybe you should make sure your key holder is available on shift when you are not there to take care of such issues. Also, Wanda, terrible customer service to ask them to come back on your schedule. You should at least ask when the customer can come back and that’s how you take care of the customer.
