Easy Pickins' on Laurel Street — Local services in Springfield

i love this store but not the owner. we came in 30 minutes till they closed and immediately got told that they’d be closing in “a couple minutes”. as someone who works both retail and foodservice i completely understand letting people know you’re about to close and not wanting to have stay open 30 minutes to and hour after hours. however there were at least 12 people in the store each one of us either were looking for something to buy or had something in our buggy already (no one was in there just window shopping). and so everyone hurried to leave or get their stuff to check out we knew there’d be a line so we went to the booth we went in there for only for the owner to come ask us if we were “done yet”. we said yes we were about to head up to the front and when we got up there and were getting checked out and the owner turned off every light in the store and turned the radio off. the cashier had just started with us! after she was done the owner didn’t even let us get out the door before he was shaking his keys. typically even all of that wouldn’t have bothered me (like i said i totally get it!) but we looked at the time and it wasn’t even five o’clock yet! he’s rushed us out in the past and we didn’t mind (you never know if someone’s got an emergency they need to leave for or if it’s just been a long day) but this time was just weirdly rude. please just start letting someone who doesn’t mind staying a few minutes after...

Don’t come to this place! Me and my brother came here today excited to see this place for the first time , their hours on google says closes at 5:30 pm , we pulled up at 4:45 when a man(possibly the owner not sure) runs out the door to our car and shuts in our face that they close in 10 min, very unwelcoming and VERY RUDE! Old grocery store converted in to a plentiful thrift shop with many vendors in several price ranges. If there's something you can think of it's probably there.
