I was driving down highway 65 North about the time the cemetery was being built and the only building on the property was a small one room. My wife and I went into see about the property and was asked if I would like to sign up for a position into the cemetery. As a retired USAF officer I signed up to be burred there along with my wife. Several years later my wife passed away and was buried there in PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FEDERAL CEMETARY IN THE UNITED STATES and being stationed in Washington at one time - I include Arlington in that comment. Read moreThe cemetery is absolutely beautiful. The thing that bothered me was I know they are a busy cemetery but service should not be a rushed thing. Families are going through a very difficult time, don't push them out after 10-15 minutes. Also the service Is Not The Time to tell the grieving spouse they before they leave you need to have them go over paperwork. It was a bit tasteless as the grieving spouse is setting there crying trying to deal with family in the 10-15...
