Update: Course is in better shape. Not great, but playable. Greens look good. My only complaint are the rates. $27 to walk is pretty high compared to other courses in the area and the membership makes no sense for walkers with the cart requirements. Original Review: Course is a mess. I've probably played 30-40 times out here over the last few years, but have put off playing this year due to the rate increase. Decided to give it a shot since the new ownership has been pushing their improvements. Almost every hole has giant dead patches, dirt/crabgrass surrounding the greens. I know the weather has been tough this year, but other courses have managed ok. Premium rates should include premium golf and this isn't it. Course condition is unacceptable. Would love to support the course so they can get it back in shape, but I can't justify these rates. Good luck to the owners, I hope they can figure it out.

I play a lot of golf. Stopped here because I like playing different courses and I was in Springfield. The reviews were 4.4 - the rail was rated 4.7 ( I've played the rail, this is not an accurate rating. the Oaks is far lower than .3 worse). Greens needed mowed, tees needed a lot of attention( pic of one of the tees attached), overall the course was in rough shape. The pictures on the website are likely very old. I paid more to golf here than I would have paid for a better par 72 in Decatur. After 9 I was so disappointed I went in and asked if I could get a refund for 9 instead of 18 since I wasn't happy with the course, and was told no. I still left, better than playing a neglected course. In my 47 years I have played one course worse than this one, it closed the next year.

Wow!! What a difference!! I played this course 2years ago, and honestly it was in terrible shape. I try not to be too critical but the clubhouse was the worst I had ever seen. Fast forward to two weeks ago and I couldn’t believe it was the same place. The course had been greatly improved and the clubhouse was beautiful! Can’t wait to play it again next year!

I’ve been a member of this course for 2 years. Been coming out here consistently once or twice a week for 3 years at least. This year I was not impressed with conditions, especially because prices were raised. I love it here but I feel, the course just has poor upkeep. Dead spot all over the fringe of the greens. Dead grass and dirt in the middle of fairways. Not good. Also, something needs to change with their leagues. They let their leagues run rampant and take over the course. League members come early for practice which is understandable. But there rate of play is down right awful. Known to close off the entirety of the front or back based on where the league is at. Unnecessary. Leagues start between 3 and 5. A lot of nights the leagues are done in an hour and a half to 2 hours but yet I still get grief when I want to play 18. God forbid I just try to start on the opposite end of the course to let the league play, still I’m told “watch out for the league, they have the course.” Again, absolutely love it here. Nice easy chill course. But I don’t think I’ll be getting a membership next year. Unless……they create a more expensive membership that covers cart fees. That...

It's the first 70° Saturday of 2022 and this place was the biggest let down. No markers on the Tee boxes, so just tee off wherever I guess. No yardage on the hole number sign. The course was in horrible shape. On the course there were cut down trees, burned trees and stumps, brush piles. Then the club house....wow. 3-4 kinds of beer maybe a 12 pack total in the fridge, 5 of them are PBR. Bar isn't open. Can't even get a gross roller dog at noon. 4 types of candy bars and junk peanut butter crackers, oh peanuts too. 38 bucks to ride 18 is 10 bucks to much for the experience. The guy at the counter was nice, and nice new carts. There are MUCH better courses in the area. No Porta potties on the course. All the ball washers (maybe 5) were dry but 1 that smelled horrible. This course has potential but if far away from what is standard for the area. Update: I can't reply to the response but I'll edit and reply here. Yes my brother booked our Tee time under Brad or Bradley. Regardless if anybody said anything on Saturday, you guys know what I pointed...
