Meramec River — Local services in St. Clair

The Meramec is a very old river and has alot of arrowheads if you know where to look. There are first sections of the lake the closer you get to St.louis . Once you're by the highway you're by fecal matter. Studies show fecal matter in the river from a few floods the overfilled one of the nearby sewage plant. Upper meramec can't be beat for an outdoor experience. From Wesco to birds nest Park the fishing and great, scenery is awesome and,if you're bored with both, have a beer and people watch.
