My sister and I went in on 1/2 a cow this year from a local farmer and this year he chose Salchert Meats as the butcher. Far and away, our best experience with getting meat processed. Their store, is nice, clean, and showcases some great cuts for sale. The salami and meat sticks are really good, btw.
Forgive me; I'm terrible with names, but the woman who helped us with our order, was very knowledgeable and helped make the whole process easy and enjoyable. We had questions on special cuts and certain requests and she really worked with us. It was nice to talk to a professional who just knows their stuff and that was so helpful in us deciding on what cuts to get, thicknesses and the rest. In fact, all of the staff we met with were so welcoming and nice to us. And we felt the prices were very reasonable.
Because of all these things, we are definitely going to be repeat customers and we're probably going in together on half a pig, as well from there!
