Shuman Foods — Local services in St. George

Overall, I always loved Shumans and had an overall great experience until a few days ago. I shop here as well as my family members and friends in my absence. Recently there was an employee who was rude to my mother while she was in there shopping for me. She asked for assistance with the full sheet cake boxes and was given false information. For years I have purchased the boxes with three pieces total, but on this day and (a few other times) my family members and friends were told the box only comes with two pieces. On this day my mother asked more than one employee and was told there was no third piece. When she directly asked a member of the management team (I am assuming since she was behind the office area) about the third piece she was NOT pleasant to my mother as she grabbed her Stanley Cup and purse leaving the store. I get it, when we are off everyone is ready to leave but true customer service comes first. The way that she treated my mother was unacceptable. As my mother continued to shop WITHOUT the assistance she needed, surprisingly (not really surprising) she found the additional piece. When cashing out, the two young ladies never apologized or addressed the issue at hand, but they then realized that there was indeed a third piece to the box. Shuman's Foods is a great neighborhood store where the owner's are the greatest. The cashier are friendly and knowledgeable about the items that they sell u can buy items in large quantities, saving money!!! I love supporting my home town...
