St Julien Plantation — Local services in St. George

Very disappointed. We arrived at 4:30 PM on Sunday July 27 2014. The stand operator was on the phone, eating a plum and not very helpful. We were told it was to late to pick our own peaches. We wanted some that were ripe enough to make ice cream and some not as ripe. She brought us a half bushel from the cooler and said there were ripe and not so ripe in the basket. We stopped in Santee and purchased the cream etc. for making ice cream. When we arrived home and started to select and prep peaches, all were as hard as apples. Needless to say we could not make ice cream. I sure we could have stopped in the stand at Smith's in Santee and gotten ripe peaches. Great customer service!! The young lady separated my onions so not to stink up my other purchases. I loved all fruit and vegetables except for the peaches. I had one them, and it lacked flavor and any sweetness. I still have two more, and I hope for the best. The cantaloupe is the best. The heirloom tomatoes...

Went to day fri.8 website said open and would close at 5.it was closed when I got there..did not change website to state .called on phone said would close 8th and 9 th but website said opened I think maybe they went to farmers market in Columbia to restock.drove 100 miles.what a way to...
