Properly addressed mail sent via USPS to the Houston PO address that the Apache Conty Treasurer's Office has instructed us to mail to on our tax bills O is returned by the Post Office as "Undeliverable". I have called the Apache County Treasurer's Office several times about this because the tax bills were sent out just two weeks before their due date. What has the Apache County Treasurer's Office response been? THEY HAVE SHUT DOWN THEIR VOICEMAIL AND REFUSE TO ANSWER THEIR PHONE! The Apache County Treasurer's Office has a recorded phone message now that states that "due to the volume of calls that they receive they are no longer accepting voice mails (or answering their phone). The recorded message also erroneously tells us to mail our statements to the Houston payment processing center- EVEN THOUGH THEY MUST BE AWARE BY NOW THAT THE HOUSTON PO IS NOT RECEIVING MAIL AND THE USPS IS UNABLE TO DELIVER MAIL THERE. What is the Apache County Treasurer's Office offering as an alternative. DRIVE AN HOUR AND A HALF TO SAINT JOHN. I have mailed my taxes to their 75 W. Cleveland Street. Let's hope that they don't lose the checks! How can a business (public/private) operate properly when they don't expedite their accounts receivables and farm the accounting and money received to some company in Texas? How can they operate when they don't ANSWER THEIR PHONE and expect their clients (taxpayers like you and me) to drive to St John? The answer may be that they know taxpayers won't drive that far and have obfuscated and created a byzantine process of what ought to be quite simple, thereby creating a situation like mine where we cannot bay our bill in a timely manner. The only plausible reason for the Treasurer not to want to receive payment is that interest and penalties can now be collected from taxpayers. I have heard a rumor that the reason that bills weren't sent until the last minute was that they were delayed by the printer with whom they contract, Unbelievable incompetence! This is not the way to rin a...

Read moreNon-existent organization. Multiple attempts to contact. They hang up the phone without answering. They have a recorded message that states they WILL NOT return voice messages, but yet after waiting forever on the phone I get dumped into their voicemail. They have isolated themselves and will not answer the phone. Nor do they have an e-mail address. This speaks to them deliberately not helping tax paying citizens pay their taxes. This should not be allowed...
