The Market at St. Johns — Local services in St. Johns

Not only the best little store in town, it's also the only freaking store in St Johns Arizona. It's very small for a store, but when I'm up that way they always have what I'm looking for. The staff there are very helpful, and very very friendly. You hear people say all the time that you're treated like family, normally they're paid to say that but I'm not. From the first time I walked in there, I was treated like a big brother. I don't go there often, because St John's has actually nothing in it but the market. This place should just close up. The other ACE hardware stores won't accept their items for return and the market is just way over priced. It's ridiculous the town of St John's is a food desert! You either go to Show low or Springer to get food so many folks in the town eat at circle k and thus the rise in diabetes or alcoholism. The town leaders should really make true efforts to get a real market and a real hardware place that isn't over priced and has enough staff when you want to check-out. I shouldn't have to search for a person to ring me up at 9am and the place just...

The store used to carry more items. When the Harvey's sold the store the stock was reduced and the prices increased. They closed the bakery and the deli. That was a meeting place for friends to get together and drink coffee while saving the world problems. The meat department no longer cuts their own meat. Most people shop across the street at the Dollar General or the go shop in Round Valley or drive to Show Low.
