Excellent high quality dried mushrooms. Packaging is unattractive but gets the job done. Followed easy how to rehydrate instructions on their website, no directions in box. Rehydration is easy but cannot be rushed. My home made soup was delish! I live in the desert, low humidity. Majority of fresh produce goes bad here within days. Mushrooms in bulk bins at chain grocery stores are pawed through, rarely look fresh. In plastic covered cardboard containers m8st times there are a few on the bottom already completely moldy. A couple of days in a middle of the road quality home fridge and they're all gonners (I toss moldy ones and repackage as soon as I get them in house). I've used dried mushrooms in the past and was satisfied with the end result. Purchased at a grocery store chain, cost was exorbitant. Forest Mushrooms are much higher quality, you see it as soon as you open the box. I bought 2 lbs. total, 3 varieties. Delivered in 2 medium sized boxes taped together, mushrooms were in lightweight zip lock type bags. Not useful for long term storage but good enough to get them safely delivered, IMO. Easy to understand instructions for short to long term storage are on website. I will buy more in the future. Two lbs. of dehydrated mushrooms is a lot! Even for someone that loves mushrooms as much as I do. I highly recommend...

Great service from a family-run business (which is important to me), and easily the most amazing oyster mushrooms I've ever had. Amazing texture and a rich almost nutty flavor that I'm not used to tasting in a dish. I've heard great things about some of their other varieties--don't know what their secret is, but I'd certainly go out of my way to buy oysters from Forest Mushrooms again. The people are pleasant, my order was delivered really quickly, and overall I was highly impressed. I ordered 2 pounds of Shiitake mushrooms from them, and when I got the package discovered that they cut the stems off! Since you don't eat the stems this was a very pleasant surprise. They could have included them adding toward the weight of the package but they didn't! Very very pleased I look forward to getting more mushrooms from them...
