If you want a Bedgear pillow, go to JC Mattress, find the one you want, then order it directly from Bedgear so that you have a 30-day risk-free trial period in case it doesn't work out.

I suffer from chronic (but not debilitating) neck pain which is occasionally relieved with just the right amount of neck support while sleeping. My family visited this store a few weeks ago to purchase a new mattress for our son. We also purchased two Bedgear pillows - which are very expensive. These pillows were purchased based on the recommendation of the sales person who asked if any of us had any neck or shoulder soreness in the morning. Both my wife and I do and he was able to recommend and find pillows to fit us. So in addition to the mattress for our son, we treated ourselves to some expensive but very good quality pillows, bringing our total bill that day to $1,099.
Using my new pillow every night for 2 weeks, my neck pain increased steadily until it became debilitating and I could not turn or tilt my head without experiencing severe pain. I set aside the new pillow and began using my old pillow again. Over the course of 2 nights, the severe pain went away and I was back to what I consider "normal".
I took the Bedgear pillow back to JC Mattress and asked if I could get either a refund or even store credit. I was told it is against store policy to accept returns on used bedding. The only thing they offered was free delivery on a future mattress purchase. I was told this would be a $49 value.
I went to Bedgear's web site and found that they offer a 30-day risk free trial. Bedgear will refund your money on a used pillow within the first 30 days after purchase, if you purchase it directly from them.
I called JC Mattress and asked why they couldn't accept my return, refund my money and then warranty the pillow back to the manufacturer under the 30-day trial. I was again told it is against store policy to accept returns on using bedding.
I called Bedgear and spoke with an agent who explained that Bedgear provides support representatives to their retailers and that the retailer is welcome to contact Bedgear to try and work something out on my behalf – if not a refund, at least an exchange in an attempt to find something that works for me.
I understand having a policy that does not allow returns for used bedding. The item cannot be re-stocked and sold as new, and I’m sure it has no value to try and sell as “used”… not even sure it’s legal for a retailer to try and sell used pillows. But a local retailer needs to make an effort to take care of their customers as well as they possibly can.
JC Mattress is either ignorant of the recourse options they have with their manufacturers, or they are simply unwilling to put forth the effort on behalf of their customers. Either way, I will be going elsewhere for bedding and furniture in the future.

He asked us about the bed and what we were wanting in the type of mattress to meet our needs. Jake further explained the construction of the mattress that would provide a quality product to meet our need. He made excellent recommendations for proper care/support of the bed frame.
