I usually visit this place once every 6 months, typically a lovely experience as I’m visiting with my older mother.. today I visited with my teenage son and have never felt so unwelcome in a place in my life. I walked in and gave a quick wave and smile bc the lady was on speaker phone with a friend. She didn’t smile or say hello..I thought.. odd, but nothing else of it. I noticed as I walked around the store with my son, the very unwelcoming glares we were getting but I shrugged it off. He then proceeded to find a collection of guitars for sale and got very excited (he plays guitar) and the whole time he was testing them (as he should for 100 bucks per guitar) she kept glaring at him. I figured if I smiled at her she would lighten up, but she did not. He then proceeded to find one he liked and grab it and continued to walk around to look for other things he like as he is always very excited to buy relics.. and was yelled at across the store in front of all the other customers and told to put his guitar on the counter before he “breaks” something. I was stunned, as he hadn’t come close to anything else. Everyone kinda stopped in their tracks, he said “yes ma’am, no problem” bc he was raised with manners but I was blown away by how rude she was. At this point I told him to stop looking around and come check out. I was so beside myself with how nasty this women was. She was rude during checkout to the point other customers tried to break the ice to be nice to us bc it was so uncomfortable. Then she sat his guitar on the back counter and ignored him as I told him to grab it and come on. It took him another few minutes to get his guitar bc (manners) he didn’t want to just grab it from behind the counter. I will never be back to this rotten place. I felt true discrimination today and I have never felt that in my life to that severity. That’s was terrible behavior for an old women and I will teach my kids to never act the way they were...
Read moreI have just moved to St. Marys, Georgia and was out exploring my new hometown. I had heard from a neighbor about Osborne Trading Station and decided to stop in and check it out. I love to go antique shopping and am always looking for a deal. This place was a true treasure trove! So large and so many things to see and reminisce about. I was so engrossed that an hour flew by and I hadn’t even seen the whole place! I had to leave (with my 5 new pieces!), but I’ll be back. Still need to see the other part of the store. I met one of the owners, Pam, as she was the one who checked out my purchases. She was very friendly and informative about questions I had about her business and other places to see and experience...
Read moreI've bought several pieces from this place and I love all of them! I bought most of them when I first got my house (a wooden lounge, a floral couch, a dinning set with 6 chair and 2 leafs included, some other small pieces), and just recently today when I went in and saw a desk I had scoped out on Saturday was still here. I believe it is multiple sellers in one shop, but regardless I think the furniture is fairly priced. Each time I've been in, the customer service was fantastic. There's a wide variety and while I might not have an exact place for it in my home, there are so many things available that I believe there is something for...
