Pine River Grocery — Local services in Standish Township

I had to be up in Standish on Thursday July 14th 2022 for work. I have passed by this little store numerous times in the past. But on this occasion the word gourmet sandwiches caught my eye as it was lunch time. They have sandwiches pre-made for you to grab and go, or they will make you a beautiful sandwich as you wait with pretty much whatever you can think of on it. The picture does not do it justice as I forgot to take a picture before I started lunch. That was only half the sandwich! The veggies were fresh. The roll was super soft and tasty, and the service was fabulous! The two ladies that were working were super friendly and funny. It was a great experience. I'm very glad I stopped. Stopped here to get bait before heading fishing. This store is the closest to a popular fishing launch. Arrived at 5:55am when the store is supposed to open at 6am. Waited along with a delivery driver and other fisherman. Clerk arrived at 6:15am and then realized they didn’t have any night crawlers for fishing anyway. Disappointing experience.
