Durham's Gift Shop — Local services in Stanford

The gentleman there was very very rude to me and my mother when we came there to shop. I am high risk and not mandated to wear a mask, and the man felt the need to lecture me about how I needed to wear one. (Even though I had one over my mouth to be respectful) He proceeded to tell me I was putting myself at risk. And asked why “I didn’t just stay at home”. I like to get out and support small businesses, and I feel bad enough being high risk and no being able to breathe, but to be lectured from some stranger, no way. Not his place. Not the law. Very very rude owner I’m guessing.

We will never be back and I don’t suggest anyone go here.

Really fun shop. Lots of concrete sculptures and tons of things for accessorizing your outdoor space. The owner is also super friendly and seemed excited to tell us about what all the shop offers. I suspect I'll be making a few more trips as it warms up.

Also if you're looking for a porch goose like we were, this is the place to get one. They have painted and unpainted geese as well as outfits for them. There is currently a waiting list on the painted geese but the ones we saw waiting for customers looked great so we were happy to wait for...

The best place in the area to get a porch goose. I was able to get mine unpainted so I could add the finishing touches at home. Highly recommend. Tons of other garden statues to choose from as well as a massive indoor area with everything home decor. They have walls of faux flowers, garden flags, and everything in between. Always recommend checking facebook for updates on hours though as Google is not correct (as of this post). They are only open Wed to Sat from...
