Great family fun. Good food (especially EJ's brisket nachos) and several food vendor options. The Koonce's live music is always enjoyable. There are a variety of vendors selling artwork, antiques, novelty items, furniture, clothing, knives, leather work, cookware, candles, metal sculptures, and much more. If you haven't been here before, you really should give it a try.

Super small town, fun, clean and FRIENDLY people. Enjoyed walking around and connecting with the community! Had our first chocolate soda and fried twinkie!! Parking was tricky but worth going.

The second weekend in October and April in old downtown Stanton. Delightful amount of vendors and a variety of knick knacks. Plenty of food. Boudin balls were great.

It was terrible! Way to expensive, rude vendors, food truck employees rude, no handicapped parking, no tables by the front to sit and eat your food, just have to stand or if your lucky, get a bench. I have been going to old sore head days for probably 10-15 years, but I won't go again. Most vendors have the same kind of things to sell and they think their stuff is better than new in a store. They have it priced more. It's not! Food prices are just way way to expensive, if im going to pay those prices, I want to be in a nice sit down restaurant being treated nicely, not like im bothering you by trying to purchase your stuff. Never again! I think old sorehead days have gotten too big for their britches. It use to be fun but now it's just "let me see how much money I can...

Lots of vendors, unfortunately most of it is Chinese junk and boutique clothing. Walked half of it and left because every other booth was selling basically the same stuff. There was no where to cool off, most outdoor events have a misting tent or something. People literally hugged up against buildings on the sidewalks for shade. No seating . There were a few actual unique booths selling antiques but that was about it. Need to change the name to “ old sorehead...

I have been going to this event for years. I was so disappointed. Everyone had the same stuff and it's very very expensive. I bought a turkey leg and was totally shocked when I was told it was 20 dollars. Really? That's ridiculous. You don't learn the price until they are handing it to you. Not posted anywhere. I will not be going back. Would do better to just have a huge garage sale. Money is too tight nowadays to waste it on this kind of thing. ...
