I actually found this place on AirBNB but it is cheaper to book through the company directly! On AirBNB our cabin was $254/night PLUS the AirBNB fee. Booking directly through RRG Getaways would have saved us about $200 🤪 you live and you learn. I am still very happy with our stay and felt like it was well worth what we paid! This vacation was definitely one for the books! #familyvacation #vacation #familyfun #momsoftiktok #momlife #summerfun #redrivergorge #kentucky #sladeky #thingstodoinkentucky #danielboonenationalforrest #treehouse #placestostay

We stayed for three nights in Tall Timbers cabin. This was a good rental but there were a few things that could have made it great. Pros: 1. beautiful location and amazing little hikes and sites right on the property 2. Cabin was very neatly situated up in the tree tops - it almost felt like a tree house 3. Enough parking for two large trucks and enough room to get turned around. 4. Hot tub was super nice, clean and well located. 5. There is a door out the back of the downstairs bedroom that only has like 5 steps to get to ground and it made it easy to let the dogs out. Cons 1. Upstairs shower did not work and according to reviews has not worked for a long time. 2. Oventop had electrical issues as burner would mysteriously turn on and the light for cooktop ‘ON’ was always lit 3. There was not enough dishes or silverware. The cabin sleeps six and there were exactly 6 plates and we didn’t even have enough forks - we had to purchase plastic ware. Note on the cons…. I did leave a message to alert the rental company and they responded right away and said they would send someone out but honestly I did not want to waste any of my vacation waiting for the repairman and I had a couple small dogs in the house and did not want anyone there while we were out. But honestly- other reviewers have complained about the shower for a long time and it hadn’t been fixed yet. Overall it was a great stay and our group enjoyed the visit and considering the price was lower than other rentals we put up with the cons.

My husband and I stayed in the Sandstone cabin. It's great for the price in an unbeatable location. It's close to everything, with better phone service than I get in my city, and yet it's still peaceful and secluded. From the cabin you can't see the road, any other cabins etc. There are some legit (non-beginner) hikes with amazing views within walking distance so we were able to spend a whole day hiking without touching the car. Included some photos from these hikes. The cabin and hot tub were very clean (and I'm one to notice if cleaning is careless). Everything like appliances, thermostat, ceiling fans etc worked well. Bed is comfy, warm, and bedroom blinds are room-darkening. Shower pressure was perfect. Bring your own bath soap, shampoo etc. I'd also recommend bringing your own cookware, good knives, cutting board, coffee grounds, and extra towels. Fyi there's no toaster. Overall the kitchen is decent and the tap water here tastes great. There are about 60 stairs from the cabin's parking spot to the front door so be ready to haul your stuff. Also the road up to the cabin is rugged so beware if the weather is bad and you don't have an AWD vehicle. Check-in and check-out were easy. It seems like a good level of care goes into this cabin while being affordable. We'd love to book again in the future.

My husband and I, along with our Australian Shepherd, stayed with Red River Gorge Getaways this past weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We stayed at High Rock cabin the first 2 nights and it was breathtaking! We arrived at night to a well lit staircase settled on the hillside leading up to the wrap around porch and cabin itself. Immediately we felt like we were staying in a magical tree house. The cabin has everything you need to relax and cook, and nothing you don't need. Meaning, the space is carefully filled and decorated with the necessities to be comfortable, and not filled with knick-knacks or decorations that take away from the beauty of the cabin itself. The wood used to make the cabin is simply gorgeous. We enjoyed yoga on the covered section of the porch during the rain on Saturday, and enjoyed soaking in the hot tub under the stars both nights! We were pleasantly surprised by a stacked washer/dryer in the bathroom. For our short trip, we did not need it - but great to know for future trips. (We did use the dryer to dry our beach towels before heading out!) 10/10 would recommend this cozy, artistically-structured, cabin to anyone - especially to any couples looking to spend a romantic weekend away. Both my husband and I were able to get Monday off of work a few weeks prior to our trip (we booked back in May), but High Rock had already been rented for Sunday night. Luckily for us, Scott and Brittany allowed us to rent one of their other cabins, Cozy Dumplin, for Sunday night. The cabin is located in a different area from High Rock, but the perfect location for hiking some of our favorite trails! I'm not sure how long the cabin has been around, but everything seemed brand new, and very clean. We enjoyed the firepit, and even made burgers on the fire because it had a swivel grill grate built into the firepit - so cool! Scott and Brittany were beyond helpful in making our weekend memorable, and I will be telling all my friends about their company. We have stayed with a lot of cabin rental companies in RRG, and RRG Getaways is our favorite, hands down. Already looking forward to booking...

Scott, Arielle and the team saved the weekend! My daughter and a few friends reserved a cabin for a girls' weekend to celebrate her birthday. This was the first getaway on their own. The first night went well, then a change of weather set in early Saturday. High winds left many without power and split a very large tree near the back of the property. The tree fell on the patio of the cabin, the hot tub, the fire pit, picnic table and covered the outdoor space. The limbs caused a tremendous amount of damage to the property. The ladies were beside themselves. They were so scared! Within minutes of my daughter calling to report the incident, help arrived. They were sensitive to the ladies anxiety and emotional state. They quickly began removing the tree and clearing the area. They were trying to find another cabin for the ladies for the remainder of the trip, however, there were no available cabins. Also, with the extent of the power outage, there was no guarantee that the power would be restored before dark. After speaking with Arielle and then with Scott, they were able to make some exceptions to give the ladies another opportunity to have their weekend trip at a later date. Their customer centric service was exceptional. What could have been a horrible experience overall turned out to be a great experience. The way the incident was handled truly impacted the outcome. Now the ladies are focused on the next adventure. Our family loves the Gorge. I am happy that my daughter and her friends will have the opportunity to have an experience to reminisce for...

Fun trip for this weekend was planned with family and friends. 10 of us were going to stay at the no place like home cabin. We had six kids planning on camping outside in their tent so exciting unfortunately rain coming in this weekend as you all know has been excessive my husband called the Red River Gorge getaways to check on accessibility to the cabin due to the rain. They informed him that would not be a problem. He let them know. There may be a few kids that are going to have to sleep inside with their sleeping bags if the rain gets too bad they told him this was not an option as the cabin was only at 12 cabin, even though we have friends that stayed with 18 just a little over seven months ago at the end of these three day back-and-forth communication with not very quick response times between Airbnb and red River getaways not letting us contact the host directly to explain they said it was against our policy and we would not be able to bring the extra kids, not wanting to tell the kids that we could not have the weekend. My husband decided just to cancel the trip and ask for a refund. They denied this and went around and around over a few days never coming to a resolution the people that work here are very uncooperative and very unhelpful for hospitality network. We have stayed all over the world, and I believe this is the most unfortunate conversations or cooperativity we have ever had with any network. I would not recommend anyone stay at Red River Gorge getaways ride river Gorge is a beautiful place to visit and there are many...
