County Line Package — Local services in Statesboro

I remember in 1976 driving from Statesboro to the County Line Package Store. At the time 18 was the legal drinking age. Statesboro was a dry county for liquor at the time. We stopped and I went in the right side door. They had pool tables, pinball machines, beer and liquor by the glass and bottle and six pack beer sales, the bar was in the middle separating the two sides. The man at the bar nicely said I was on the wrong side. The right hand side was for African Americans and the left hand door/side was for White people. 50 years later the layout still looks the same from the outside, but I bet they no longer enforce this 1976 tradition. The place is packed full of variety. Two stars for that. The staff was proficient in making the transaction, that's another star ⭐. The stars lacking are : -1 for product knowledge, and -1 for service. The clerk didn't know what kind of liquor was in the store. I was looking for something specific, and he did not offer to help look for it. So know what you want...

Best Place in Georgia Southern to get liquor, because its the only place in statesboro to get liquor.... I will say it is overpriced compared to other places, but they do that since they are the only ones around in a 30 mile radius..
