If your hours state you open at 7am, your course and driving range should be usable at 7am. Booked a early tee time 8am, and have ran into greens workers cutting the greens whilst I am on the hole. They didn't even place the pin back in the hole, just left it sitting there on the green. This isn't the first time I have ran into this issue before either with maintenance crews working on the green, or sprinkler systems coming on after open. Its ridiculous! I also hate how the prices have gone up yet again, and I am not seeing any increase in value on the course or upgrades. I've been seeing more and more complaints about this and feel like this should be addressed.
Another issue I have ran into is the lack of water provided on the courses. The last time I came there was no water on the course and with how hot it is outside I think it’s important that the course makes sure there is water provided.
Also, a side note the amount of people who fish on the courses ponds and leave their fishing line is upsetting. The litter is impacting the wildlife negatively and making the...
Read moreStopped by Friday June 6th, but found the entire facility closed for punching and sanding the greens PLUS punching the fairways. The director of the course - Mr. Olsson - was kind enough to take 10 minutes out of his day to talk with me about the punching program. They plan to do this annually, which is wonderful news, as it will make for healthy fairways. The course will reopen the next afternoon (the 7th), so the process happens with a short downtime. I enjoy this course’s layout, as it includes a great variety of hole styles. I very much enjoy that you cannot approach the course with a singular strategy; you’ll be faced with club selection and shot selection from tee to green, making for an enjoyable mental game to go along with the physical game. Plus there’s a good variety of to-go food options at the clubhouse for the turn - meaning more than just candy, hot dogs, and Powerade. It is among my favorite courses. I’m sort of an “alumni” as I graduated from Armstrong Atlantic, which was drawn into the Georgia Southern...
Read moreThe course is beautiful, it is perfectly maintained but the man who runs the course is horrible. He is probably the rudest person I have interacted with on a golf course in all my years of playing. Everytime I see him I see how horrible he treats the college students that play at this course. Recently I was paired with two college students. He made a point to drive over to us and threaten the kids before they even teed off. He threatened to kick them off the course if they drove on the grass (since it was cart path only). Nobody had driven on the grass and nothing was said to me sitting in a cart 10 feet away. These kids made it clear he has a reputation for treating students horribly on the course. If you are going to treat college students trying to enjoy golf that way then you shouldn't work at a college golf course. I play at this course 2 days a week with 3 gentlemen I work with but after hearing these kids and seeing how the older gentlemen interacts with them I will be playing...
