Every Halloween we visit Haunted Houses and other similar attractions. My family of four drove an hour one way to visit this attraction last night. Upon leaving it seemed I was the one with the most positive view of the experience. However, my experience was completely spoiled. Near the end of the attraction we got turned around a couple of times. Some of the "actors" were nice in their haunted directions but the very last guy was down right rude! He screamed at us in his normal "acting" fashion but when I asked which way to go he said to "go out the exit, because that is what the word exit means." I was taken aback as previous haunted houses had false exit signs. As we left he kept taunting about how we didn't know how to read the sign. BAD FORM. It made me rethink the whole experience. Such as the twists and turns in the dark through spaces so narrow that some of my larger friends would not have been able to pass. It would be humiliating for them if they had been there. My teenage daughter felt uncomfortable, not scared, in several areas. She felt rushed by the actors to move faster and couldn't enjoy her experience. My adult daughter, who has no medical issues, almost passed out because the strobe lighting was aimed into your eyes and set at too fast a speed. Their father said he felt there was nothing scary about the haunted house. I actually defended this because it was scary for the back of our large group (visitors are combined to enlarge group sizes.) All the "scares" were aimed to the back leaving those of us in front kind of bored. While we were forewarned online about the reduced air quality, there was one spot that smelled so bad it made you nauseous. Hours later the "idea of" the smell was still making me feel ill. Let me also comment on the lines. The regular line was so long that people in the back commented that they had already been waiting for 30 minutes. So we paid extra for VIP passes which gives you entrance to a shorter line. While it was worth the extra money to cut our wait time considerably, I don't feel the whole experience was worth the $100 it cost. All of us expressed a lack of interest in ever returning...
Read moreI have came here before and loved it so I brung my children back so that they can enjoy the same memories that I have in this place and I have a routine that I always order my tickets and then when I get to the property I go in my email and pull them up well when I did that this time guess what I found out that it was a pending transaction so I contact my debit card company to find out that they had took up the money and that it wasn't actually pending and that it was actually fully charged to me so I let them know and even give the benefit of the doubt when I called in to let them know about this issue and was hung up on . That maybe it was my phone and not them who knows technology these days you never know. Lol 😂 but anyways to a gentleman that I needed to speak to that ended up being very helpful had the best personality and made sure that we were taken care of even if it actually cost them in the long run just so I wouldn't be charged twice in the same day and have to wait a seven today 7 to 10 day. Just to receive my money back from just one time now I have seven people so that was over $100 so I definitely didn't want to afford $200 just to go see a haunted house and I wanted to make a special and do another part of this place but I did get to do that because they allowed it to happen I won't place what happened and who would happen with because I'm not about drama but it was handled and that's why I had to take one star other than that I would have never took a star from this place they are family oriented they are amazing it is definitely worth a 3-hour drive so if you've never been here come visit because I can tell you that if you don't like it then there's something wrong...
Read moreThis was a blast!!!! We visited during the early "family friendly time-frame" and it still frightened the living daylights out of me. We had we had a good mix of 7 children with the oldest being 13 and youngest being 6, and 3 adults. During the intro we were given a safeword if anyone needed out and half way through we did have 3 that said it and made a beeline for one of the nearest side doors with an adult. At some point after that one of the "zombies" became a sort of guide for the remaining group encouraging and guiding us throughout the maze like areas (everything was still scary though lol) the actors were absolutely amazing and by the end we were laughing as much as we were screaming, kids included. As much as we enjoyed it I will say I wished we had made sure all the kids that said they wanted to go were truly understanding and ready for that level of Halloween fright. So please double check with your group before attending. Those that are ready will definitely enjoy! Well worth the drive (40 minutes for us) and cost. If I was able, I'd try and make it to the later hours to see just how frightening it actually gets. There's always...
