Every other Sunday in the summer my bf & I would go too the Circle Flea Market in Scranton & than we'd finish up the day with going too Sugarman's indoor flea market which is unfortunately no longer open. So I would look into other flea markets/antique stores to visit after we finish looking around the circle thats when I found Pieces of the Past Antiques I was only there technically once. Because I found this vintage red owl from the 40's I think they just put it out so I was afraid to ask at the time if the price was negotiable. I gave it a week to call them & ask over the phone if they'd go from $90 to $75 & they said yes so I went back for him & I still love him to this day. I also saw this vintage jack o'lantern when I was there but he was also newly put out they were asking $38 for him I felt embarrassed asking twice & he didn't have a light source so at the time I didn't it would work out. 4 years later I went back with my friend & the jack o'lantern was still there I couldn't believe no one else would bring this guy home so I figured it was meant to be that he'd finally come home with me I actually showed them the photo I took of him 4 years ago to work out an offer I said is $25 good for him & she said yes. He much like my owl will be cherished for as long as I live haha but on a side note you're probably thinking yes they only worked with me only because the jack o'lantern has been sitting for the last 4 years but as I said early on that they will also work with newly listed items as well. They were always friendly & I believe they're married when you enter the shop her husband will greet you with saying (everything you see is negotiable no offer is to dumb) I liked that he kept too the same slogan even after 4 years. I will be visiting once the weather gets warmer again for some new treasures you'll always find something & will never leave empty handed thank you for your warm & welcoming...
Read moreSorry, this was too much all around and we actually had to walk out! Prices were so out of line with the competitive online market with free shipping....not sure where the prices came from? Very, very high! A lot of stuff was not even in collectible condition and there was just no rhyme or reason to the organization. Maybe it is more of a private persons collection and museum-type place, but we collect ALOT of different stuff and would never even consider going back here. I have a feeling there is so much stuff all over the place because no one is actually paying those prices! Sorry owners, you need to revamp, reorganize, and reprice...
Read moreVisited this place today and what a disappointment. Rip off the tourists. Items were overpriced and very poor Condition. Basically, a lot of junk that was rusted or ready for the trash. . I got disgusted, went out to the car while the others Browsed. Even though people were there, but I didnât see anybody coming out With anything. I heard people in the car next to me talking about something being priced too high. It used to be much nicer. I thought the prices were much more reasonable.in the past. I wonât be returning, unfortunately, I throw...
