2nd Review:
This is my second time delivering here. No complaints. I just wanted to share, if you're coming from I-70 West, DO NOT TAKE US-22, that highway has so many hills, curves and downgrades, it is horrible, it'll make your trip longer, specially if you're 80,000 lbs heavy like me. This time, I took US Highway 7, and even though it added about 15 minutes to the trip, I didn't have to go thru all those hills and downgrades. I took I-70W towards Wheeling and went thru Martin's Ferry to Steubenville. That's it, super simple! You'll thank me later lol
First review
Appointment at 07:00PM, arrived at 03:00PM and was turned away. Checked in again at 06:01PM and got a door on the spot. I was unloaded in 90 minutes. Once you get a door, they require you to move your tamdems all the way back before docking, chock your wheels, disconnect your trailer, and stay 5 feet away from such trailer, then walk to the recieving office. They'll call you once they're done. People in the receiving office are very nice and respectful. There is plenty of space for backing. The lanes are wide enough for you to open up your doors before docking. You don't have to open your doors before getting inside the loading lane. Getting to this DC is quite a challenge. There are a lot of hills and very, very sharp curves, so be aware of that. Parking sucks around here. There's a Sunoco gas station that has parking, but good luck, it is always packed, they have I think about 25 Parking spots, I saw people parked on the shoulder, but I wouldn't recommend it. Even though this town is about 3,000 people, this road...
Read moreDo not arrive here more than an hour, earlier. Otherwise you would be sent back. The nearest is a small gas station with 15 to 20 teuck parking spots. Depending on what time you get there. The rest everything is ok as it is in other DCs. Nothing specail.check in and check out is door 517. It is your luck that how far you got the dock. From there you have to walk first for handing over the Paperwork and then when green to collect your paperwork. Leave with empty doors. After backing up, in hiok and stay 5meters ahead of your trailer. About the GPS, i had messed up so better not to write anything.
Now, u can leave your teuck right close or ingront of door 517 buf surely not blicking the traffic and can go to submit your paperwork. Then she will give you the doof number with a phone number. Once you backed up to the assigned door, unhook the truck then you have to call that number which is 7407655749 to let them know that they can start unloading. After, unloading finishes rest of the procedue is...
Read moreStan Hasty. You are right. I was here May 31 making a delivery. As usual, the gate security people were fabulous. The ladies in the office were efficient and friendly. And I AM legally blind. Yes, that's me crossing in front of your truck.
If you were held up, it was not the fault of the Walmart employees. I've NEVER had problems at this DC. But I'm always early for my appointment. Not enough that they turn me away, but enough that I am set up and ready when they are ready for me. I usually get a door right away and am picking up my paperwork within two hours. Three at the absolute most.
My partner delivers here tomorrow. As is his usual, he's checking the place out before hand. Imagine his surprise to find my picture on your review. I faced a health crisis last month that has me temporarily off the truck. I hope to be back on the road before long.
