I am a Nanny, and I try to bring my nanny kids here at least once each summer. Last summer we came in to bowl, and I remember the older lady at the desk was rude both times. She seemed inconvenienced by everything. We used the kids bowl free program, which I donât think you should offer if you donât want the kids accidentally dropping/throwing the ball vs rolling it. The music was off, although there are Kicker speakers everywhere. All TVs off. We recently came in again, different nanny children same lady at the desk. We were the only people there. I had explained we have the kids bowl free coupon, she said in a really snarky voice, âwell today you donât.â Obviously I was confused and she was like âon Tuesdayâs and Thursdayâs we donât do it. And expected us to leave!!! I said, âokay we will stay anyways!â And she gave us another game for free but was obviously irritated. She was rude about shoe sizes as well towards my nanny child who was just trying to figure out how to get the shoes on. She didnât tell us where the kids bowling balls were, we were just looking and finally she told us they were in an office! If they arenât visible, tell people!! She was just watching us look for them. Then we asked for the bumpers, and she said âyouâll have to waitâ. With no explanation! Mind you we are the only people there. So we start the game and the kids go ask for her to put the bumpers up and she did. We just bowled in silence until a big group came in. This place needs new management. Iâm sick of coming in and dealing with this lady every time and bowling with NO MUSIC OR ANYTHING. Like what the heck how is this a fun...
Read moreWent in to bowl and play arcade games with my boyfriend looking for something fun to do. I asked if I could use the bumpers after we had already paid thinking it was already accessible on the remote pad located by the alley. I told a girl with short orange hair and glasses after my first time attempting without the bumpers I was struggling due to the weight of the bowling ball and my size. She told me only 12 years and younger were allowed to use bumpers and there was no exceptions. I decided to try again without bumpers and still wasnât doing great as I was struggling to bowl due to my disability and small size. I went back up and tried to explain nicely to her that I was struggling because of my disability and was overall not enjoying my experience because of it. She said she would ask her manager, when I came back up she still told me no because I wasnât 12. What shocked me is Iâm about the size of a 9 year old and have medical issues making physical activity harder for me to do compared to most adults. But with very simple accommodation, bowling wouldâve been very easy as no other company has made this an issue in the past. For $20 to play one game in already pretty run down building, I would expect them to not take an unprofessional game of bowling so seriously. Overall, it ruined the experience and we definitely wonât be...
Read moreItâs really unfortunate that this is the state of the bowling alley that I grew up with. The place is nice-ish and the nostalgia was great upon arrival (same look and feel when I was here 20 years ago), but thatâs where it ended for me. How can you in good conscience charge by the hour and then let your customers sit there for 30minutes of their hour time slot waiting on their balls to come back after every round? The excuse is the 6 pound kid balls arenât heavy enough to shoot back sometimes, but we experienced the same thing with the heavier 12-15 pound balls. Even worse, having to go up to the table after every single round and ask for them to fix it? I went there to have a good time with the kids and in the entire hour slot, we got to play ONE game due to waiting and walking back and forth to the front table. The 2 ladies working the counter didnât care and acted annoyed when we simply wanted to have a smooth experience. Something needs to change, but I wonât be coming...
