Indian Lake — Local services in Stokes Township

The park had a great paved path that ran around a good portion of the lake, providing a good view of the water. Though I didn’t spend much time here, I actually did enjoy it. I loved the family of ducks that I saw while walking and there were many people fishing along the shore. Though there wasn’t many boats out in the water. I’ve also heard that the lake was having a problem with its water quality, so I wouldn’t recommend swimming in it as of now. But I’m sure every body of water goes through that at some point. There was a little beach running along one area of the park for the swimmers, though. Another thing I loved was the little dog park that they had by the beach. One of the sections even included a little obstacle course-type thing. Many people were utilizing the park to which is always great to see. The bathrooms I used were decently nice and well-kept, so no problems there. So, overall, I enjoyed my visit here and hope those who are reading can get out and explore the park sometime! Park is getting better but still needs some work on lots in B area that fill with water when it rains a little and the sides of camper lots are usually trenched from campers not having a wide enough area to back in campers, today campers are a lot longer than when this park was first built, and the state parks need to take that into consideration if thwy are going to offer lots to 40' campers, lots may be wide enough but roads and camper lots aren't wide enough to back a 37 foot camper in without going off pavement or using the lot across the road to back in also, the people that run 5hese aces ought to try backing in a forty ft. fifth wheel with a long truck into a lot without leaving...

Going in the early spring may have been a mistake because it was too cold to use the water or be comfortable outside, but the lake is nice and there are a few areas, albeit very open, around the lake to hike. Saw a ton of people fishing, but no one was reeling anything in, the water was quite choppy and muddy looking, so this could have been effecting the fishing results.
