Third times a charm. When I couldn’t start my laptop, I thought it might have been the battery. I took it to a data recovery “business” and regretted it. He immediately charged me for a diagnostic test. He told me he successfully backed up my laptop — he didn’t — and needed my login information. I wasn’t comfortable with what he was telling me. I decided to just take my laptop back and cut my losses. He assured me nobody would be able to recover my data and that I would have to come back to him to retrieve it. He was wrong.

I called around and one company was going to charge me $900 minimum. Seriously? Ultimately I was referred to Danielle’s PC Repair but she had a busy schedule and wouldn’t be able to assist me for over a week. Yet she took the time to respond back via text after I explained my situation. She then gave me a list of other places to contact. I did reach out to another computer repair business for help. But I don’t think they really looked into discovering what the problem was or tried to retrieve my files. By that time, Danielle was available! Long story short, she was everything a PC repair company should be — knowledgeable, sharp, speaks in layman’s terms, follows up, communicates extremely well, professional, friendly, listens, and a genius. She not only found all my files, but she cleaned up my laptop, put my all files back where they belonged, and provided helpful tips and solutions. And to boot — affordable! And did I tell you she found my files? I thought they disappeared for good. Happy tears! She kept me posted the entire time, and her turnaround was fast. I can’t thank her enough. Danielle's PC Repairs is, in one word, awesome! I contacted Danielle on Feb. 9, 2021 with a very serious security issue on my PC. She did a remote of my PC on Feb. 11, 2021. She made the necessary changes to make my PC secure, but she went far beyond that. She installed software that I can use regularly to keep my PC secure. She installed a secure browser and educated and instructed me in its use and uninstalled the browser I had been using. She answered my questions about replacing my current Internet security software and made recommendations of better and less expensive software. When I made the decision to make the change, she helped me purchase it and she installed it and removed the old right then and there. She then showed me how to use some of its features to make my use of the Internet even more secure. She showed me to how to find and install Windows updates and features that don't get auto-installed. She answered my questions regarding how to protect myself using services provided by the three credit bureaus. Today, February 12, I am thinking about all of the positives that came out of the serious issue I had rather than the possible harm it could cause. And that is because Danielle gave me an entirely different Internet experience than I have had in a very long time. No irritating pop up adds of everything I have shopped for online. No tracking of the sites I have visited. No fear that my credit card and banking site visits are not secure. I don’t know much about computers so I was in a panic when my computer screen suddenly turned completely black.
