Great walk-through lights experience! High quality LED lights & figures & tunnels to head through. Made our son's day, and wife & I enjoyed this too. Ambient music for all to enjoy was a nice touch.
Lots of tables in the center courtyard of sorts to enjoy food & drinks from on-site vendors. Free parking though lot is gravel / dirt FYI (walking trail for lights is paved however). Trailer bathrooms were nice, way better than standard port-a-johns.
Slides looked cool (did not use) but they should put up light displays along the sides to make it more festive - as it is, was kinda dark and bare.
I would say other downsides were too loud music by the Christmas tree, and the night we went the entry & exit were the same path so that caused a bottleneck at times. Also, might consider this a but pricey for a single visit, but if you buy a season pass and go a few times that's a decent value.
For their first year, they've put together something pretty interesting. I appreciate them being open on weekday nights. Previously Shreveport's only regular option was the Rose Garden for a Christmas light & festivities experience, but it's only open on weekends and it's often seeming to be cold, rainy, or unpleasant when hoping to visit the Rose Garden. We were able to make a spontaneous trip to Lumiere on a good weather night & it was great...
Read moreThe lights were great. There are several kinks the team still needs to work out, but we enjoyed the experience overall.
Pros: nice light display; cool place to hang out with access to decent bathrooms; fun games and activities that are "included" in the price
Cons: teenagers working were a bit clueless; the parking lot had NO light so my daughter tripped and fell and hurt herself; the slide was a mess with a lot of waiting and confusion around the exit; the price was a bit high for the value of the experience (especially the vendors on site); the music on NYE was too loud and unenjoyable as a result
I hope that Lumiere will "come back" next year and take this feedback into consideration (especially the cost --- so many people "wanted" to go with their kids but couldn't afford to because it was so steep). The SBC needs good...
Read moreTo be honest, it was a bust.
Light maze and lights were neat, HOWEVER…there was only 1 hot coco stand in 40 degree weather and 2 with mediocre coffee. They also had about 3 ice cream/shaved ice stands (in 40 degree weather) and to top that, they were soaking the big slide in water..in 40 degree weather..and the bounce house had kids jumping with shoes on getting mud all over kids and soaking their feet..in 40 degree weather. Other than that not much more than a couple food trucks be ready to spend some 💰💰 it’s pretty much $20 a person to get in and the food of course is expensive for what it’s worth. Hate to be negative Nancy because the kids did have fun but in retrospect it wasn’t all that good...
