So, I have been a member of the Stoughton YMCA for some time now. In fact, both my daughters went to the Stoughton Y camp for years, but I'll get into that a little later. So I love the stuff at Stoughton Y. Lately, the Y is going downhill fast. No one ever clears up equipment that is left everywhere all the time; I spend about 15 minutes cleaning up and putting things back. Yes, the person who uses it should put it back, but if they don't, the Stoughton Y stuff should be cleaned up. Please see the pictures below. Also, due to the stuff not cleaning up and re-stacking the weights right, my $1,000 cell phone got smashed, and I had a witness that saw the whole thing, it cost me $300.00 to fix, and I had the report done to the Stoughton Y and the witness and still they said sorry not helping you fit your phone :(. Ok, on to Stoughton Y camp! Last year, my 7-year-old attended the Stoughton Y. We paid a lot of money to have her go there. Well, my 7-year-old dug up a used rubber. That's all I'm going to say. Did Stoughton Y do anything? Yeah, "sorry," that was really about it. I love the stuff at the Stoughton Y, but really Stoughton Y. UPDATE 3/9/2024 Nelson has to be the worst person to run the Y gym in Stoughton. He never returns emails and is never at the gym, so you can talk to him and ask about new stuff or add new equipment. The only time Nelson is there is for a photo op. It is so badly run that it is very sad. I can't believe Ellen Green thinks this man can run the Stoughton Y gym. I heard he is going to a different Y, and I can't imagine how bad that Y gym will become. I am so very SAD that this man, Nelson, has no idea how to run a gym or get back to people.

I have posted all the time. Again, this ymca deletes bad reviews. Mine have all been deleted. 4 in total since Covid-19 started. Men’s health club is only open 25% the usual. No laundry service. Hot tub and steam room sat dormant for 1.5 years. Nothing works. Been 3 month they have been open or longer and still not fixed. No equipment is spaced out for Covid-19 anymore. And since they refuse to address the pay issues, the kids run this gym. If your an adult stay away!!

This YMCA is great for small kids and families. But I will say that the bathrooms/changing rooms really need an upgrade. Kinda make you not want to use them 🤢🤮 Staff is friendly but some give you different answers in regard to activities. My toddler loves to play there which I highly recommend but again those bathrooms are a turnoff ….

The summer camp program for kids is a disaster. We ended up just not bringing our grandson for the second half of the summer and making other arrangements. We lost a good bit of money in the process, but was preferable to picking him up dirty, hungry, thirsty, and morose every day. We would check him in and he would cling to the front gate while we left. When we drove by a little later, he was still clinging to the post. Arts and crafts program seemed to consist of coloring pages torn from an old coloring book with a single crayon. We're low on supplies, the counselor told us. Nature study was digging in the dirt with a stick. Very limited pool time. Bathroom facilities were either dirty portable Johns or a filthy bathroom shack with feces on the wall. Staff was fairly friendly in the main, but obviously not well paid or trained. We never felt they were keeping a close enough eye on things. When we tried to reach out with a question, our emails were ignored. The drop off/pick up system was very confusing, and seemed to differ from day to day. When our grandson didn't show up for several weeks in a row, absolutely nobody followed up to see if there might be a problem. There were no field trips. No archery. No organized teams. Just a little shooting hoops at the crowded basketball net. All this for about $400 per week. An extremely disappointing experience. Needless to say, we won't be back...

I’ve waited a few months to post my review regarding the daycare. I wanted to compare it to the other daycare my child is currently going to. Let’s just say you get what you pay for. Not sure if they still don’t have a director but this place has gone extremely down hill. I’ve walked in where there was one teacher to 9 children several times. Teachers are on their phones and very distracted. They don’t care about children who may need a little more attention as they say “they don’t provide one on one care.” I mean what daycare does but they allowed children to bite & fight one another. My child got bit twice & still has a mark to this day. They claimed his skin was not pierced so that’s why they didn’t notify me until an hour after the incident happened. During an 8 hour day my child’s diaper was changed 3 times. They provided zero daily feedback on what my child did. You only get a quarterly review. There are no pictures taken or a way to communicate with the staff except via phone call. Calls are barely answered btw. Miss Theresa has absolutely no personality & it was pulling teeth to have a conversation with her. Susan needs to retire because she seems absolutely miserable there & it’s clear this is a just a job for her. If you want your child to feel safe & actually learn something stay clear...
