Just Stitching — Local services in Strongsville

Owner Miss Shelly is as engaging as she is knowledgeable regarding cross stitching, cross stitching needs, et cetera. She's friendly and runs her business smoothly with an additional plus not often found in today's competitive small business market: she'll tell you where you can find an item cheaper even if she does carry it in her shop. I've been in twice so far (in the last month)--the first time was a "group night" where I heard loots of laughter while the ladies plied their needles on projects, and the second time ws when I had about 100 skeins of unidentified flosses in about as many colors...she took the time to sit down with me and give them DMC-equivalent names, even though they weren't DMC-quality. (So at least when I go to work on a quickie project I'll have a good idea as to what I'm dealing with.) Thank you, Miss Shelley, for giving me some great tips and for having such a wonderful shop that I will most definitely make my "go-to" sewing...

Edited to add: shortly after I posted my review I received and email with an apology and the beads arrived within the week. I felt it was important to update this so that the review was fair. It just shouldn’t have taken so long for the beads to be sent to me. Original post: I’m very disappointed with my only experience with this store. I ordered a kit from Facebook during her May sale. It came with an IOU note for 3 beads. I believed I was purchasing a full kit and this is not what I got. After a couple weeks I emailed her about the beads and she said she would send them. I’ve emailed her twice more and she has not responded to my inquiries, nor has she sent the missing pieces. It has now been 5 months. I was looking forward to shopping at this local store when I discovered it. After this poor customer service, I will not shop...

I stopped in today for the first time. It was a little busy, but the owner still took time to chat with us and explain a couple things. The prices are standard and just what I would expect for the charts. I felt the fabric prices were really good, and there were a couple of great sales.
