Midwest Dental - Strum — Local services in Strum

I’m new to the area of Northern Wisconsin, and had not establish with a dentist yet. Unfortunately, I began to have a toothache last weekend, knowing that this tooth had been bad for quite awhile, it was now quite painful! By Tuesday 1/23/24, I was calling around the area Dental Clinics, trying to get in to somewhere to have the tooth examined, after 4-5 calls, I soon found out, that no place were taking new patients, even on an emergency basis. Fortunately, the last clinic I called, suggested “Midwest Dental” might be a place to try. And, I’m glad I did! “Midwest Dental” in Strum, Wisconsin, got me in to see the dentist in less than 24 hrs.! From the woman answering the phone, in the office, to the Dental assistant, to the Dentist himself, Dr. Brian Underwood, they were all very professional, very understanding and empathetic, and very helpful! Also, to my surprise, the cost for the exam and X-ray, without dental insurance ( I don’t have dental insurance right now), was very reasonable, and affordable! Dr. Underwood spoke respectfully to me, answered any questions or concerns I had, and explained the situation with that tooth, in a truthful manner, along with his opinion and suggestions for treatment, and gave me my options, but, ultimately , left the final decision up to me! I didn’t feel rushed, or obligated to make a decision on the spot! I was able to make an informed decision, and I felt that Dr. Underwood respected that, and we moved forward with a plan. I was very pleased with the care I received at Midwest Dental Clinic, at my first visit, and plan on continuing with them, as my new Dentist! The best dentists ever!!! Since I'm a foreigner, barely anyone is able to pronounce my name correctly. But they not only remember and pronounce it correctly every single time – that's already so impressive to me. And they're very nice and patient. They always try to use very easy-to-understand English to slowly explain things to me; sometimes they even do actions to help explain things. I highly recommend them to everyone!!! Both Christine and I were very satisfied with our care. The staff was pleasant, kind, friendly, professional, and sensitive to our needs. Dr. Underwood explain things well as he performed the exam and procedures needed. He also had a good sense of humor. The technicians assisting with X-rays and cleaning of our teeth were excellent.
