I admit it, I was taken in by the FREE bacon and steaks offered by Butcher Box! YES I know here in Floyd we have fabulous locally grown meat. I just had to try it. So I got the freebies, and I selected my cuts of beef and pork. The pork chops and the beef I ordered were wonderful. Their beef is sourced from Australia and it was quite good.
I was not able to truly figure out the cost per pound until I received the delivery and added up the total ounces received. I set aside the freebies, the products that I paid for which DID include shipping came to a whopping total of $26.58 per pound.
I have ordered from Fields Edge in the past, I will again in the future! Even their most expensive cuts are NOT nearly that much! Recently I did try the Brats from Fields Edge and they were fabulous.
Stick with local and you will save money and get fabulous grass fed and grass finished beef from Fields Edge.

I like the bologna. There are also several types of sausages that I had never had before and now love. I also love the 24 hour honor system in his grandmother's old house... It gives me a sense of community and family that is also often missing all around us.
