Chêne Gear — Local services in Stuttgart

I have thought about making this post for awhile now. Normally, I don’t leave poor reviews because my experience may not be the same as others and the impact it may leave on the business. But as a high end company this should’ve gone better.

Visited the store on Sunday, January 26th at around 1pm. I walked in on with cash in pocket planning to buy 2 things, a sweater for my girlfriend and the olive waders. After I couldn’t find the sweatshirt in a size smaller than 2X, I walked around for a good 20 minutes. I tried on the boots for the waders and had some questions. Not once during my visit did anyone speak to me or acknowledge my existence. I had questions about the boots and the difference in the 2S waders. I really expected more and was pretty disappointed as it is a beautiful store. I saw 5 different employees, mostly on their phones. I am a sales rep for several different hunting and fishing manufacturers so I’m in sporting goods stores often. I was and still am frustrated with my experience as I had such high hopes and looked forward to doing business there and to wear the waders that afternoon and remainder of the season.

Claire and the entire Stuttgart team are incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. A very well ran store with great products, knowledgeable employees, and an overall welcoming and homey environment! The store is absolutely beautiful with lots of attention to detail. Very comfortable couches and plentiful lounge space. I loved grabbing an energy drink from the bar and was shocked to find a such wide array of beverages offered.
