Great place to park and walk to the beach. Just make sure to not park where it says no parking and make sure your wheels are completely off the road.
Short walk to the beach (depending where you park). We parked right next to the lighthouse and arrived around 1030A and there were still a few spots on a Wednesday AM.
There is a little boardwalk to walk and then you are right there at the beach.
It was much quieter and less busy than going to one of Folly Beach's beaches.
If you come during high tide, there's still a good stretch of beach to set up on between the ocean and the dunes. And once the tide starts to retreat, it exposes several little sand bars.
We didn't have much luck on finding much more than the occasional little shell. No sharks teeth :( We were there from 1030A-230P and even then, the beach was still rather quiet compared to other public beaches.
FYI - there are no bathrooms here or places...
