The after-hours 'registered ID only' access restriction wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for how often the system doesn't work. I don't believe it's 'preventing theft' as much as it's starting an obstacle to services member fitness. With the sophistication of the security camera network in this building I seriously doubt anyone's stealing anything, and if service members using the on-installation fitness facility at odd hours to fit their random work schedules and maintain their fitness to fight constitutes theft, well, that just seems insulting.

Read moreWhat a great gym! 24/7 access is available, which is great since I'm working night shift. There's a huge main cardio and lifting area, with all sorts of equipment from ellipticals to treadmills to free weights and all the Life fitness weight machines. The locker rooms are roomy and clean as well. There's also a basketball gym, yoga room, spin room, a couple racquetball courts, and my favorite room, a basketball court converted to a CrossFit room, complete with assault rig, a ton of squat racks, rowing machines, and kettle bells. Probably the best Air Force gym...
