Firebird Motorsports Park — Local services in Sun Lakes

Handicapped parking is terrible! You must walk over 2 miles to even get to your seats! Plus when we got to the General Admission seating, it was PACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also I had to go up and over stairs to get to our seats. After that: I found out we could have gone AROUND AND AVOIDED THE STEPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nobody informed us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we couldn’t even get seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband was very upset because there were a LOT OF PEOPLE SAVING SEATS!!!!!!!! I walk with a cane and am severely handicapped. Not one person was willing to let me sit WHILE my husband searched for seats!!!!!!!!!! WTH is wrong with PEOPLE????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He almost got into a fist fight with some idiots who had an issue with ME sitting down while he went to find ME a SEAT!!!!!!!!! Firebird Motorsports Park later put on the big screen that they were “SOLD OUT”. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he, my husband, hadn’t gone to a security guard and told them, we probably wouldn’t have ever found seats!!!! We ended up in an elevated “HANDICAPPED AREA “ but there weren’t enough chairs!!!!! We paid a LOT for our tickets but we were not treated well, whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love to see races, especially the NHRA. However, I do not like how I, nor how my husband of 27 years were treated at this establishment. I am a registered San Carlos Apache Tribal Member. I was cussed out. I was told to “go back to Mexico “, and I was called a “F&&&ing Beaner”. The way I was treated is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT the way my VETERAN USMC Husband was treated was WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a VETERAN, He has served our GREAT United States of America in at least 2 COMBAT TOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But instead was treated so rudely by people much younger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not think I will ever go back to Firebird Motorsports Park if this type of racism is going to be allowed. ( on a separate note: we travel to many different states. AZ so far, had the MOST RACISM I HAVE EXPERIENCED!!!!!!!!!! Missouri is no where near the racist hate I experienced at the AZ Firebird Motorsports Park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shame on...

This is hands down the most poorly organized and operated sports venue I’ve ever been to. The track is surrounded by open space on all sides but ingress/egress takes 45min to an an hour even 3 hours before the event starts as the road leading to the remote parking lot takes you on a scenic tour all over the Wildhorse acreage with frequent stops and turns....and just to make it slower they have the nerve to make everyone stop to pay $10 for it! Leaving early isn't any faster on the way out either, even tho the route is more direct. All lanes choke down to a single lane on the way in and out of a parking lot that’s over a quarter mile from the entrance (at least on the east/north side). The whole facility is old and sub standard compared to any other I’ve been to (Vegas, Gainesville, Indy, Pomona, Bristol, etc.). Although there seems to be a decent selection, the food is overpriced and lines super long. Couldn't find any more than 4 different types of beer (the usual boring flavors), and no cocktails that I saw. The bathrooms are outdated and unkept. Today they decided to skip all ticket checks in the reserved pit side seats and naturally there was someone sitting in our seats when we got there..so they chose the row in front of us instead and proceeded to stand up for the better part of the show. I can't believe some of the favorable reviews I've read here - they either have very low standards, or never been anywhere else. The staff is friendly enough, perhaps somewhat aloof, but this facility is an embarrassment to the NHRA - period. Save your shekels and go elsewhere,...

I've been out here a dozen times over the past year and it has yet to run smooth or consistent ever! Parking is in a different place each time, sometimes they take card payment, other times cash only. Food and drinks are over priced and not at temperatures suitable for my dogs. The staff act as if they are above everyone and move like they are being inconvenienced. As I look around and see the ridiculous amount of sponsors, it make me wonder where the money goes because it obviously doesn't go into the facility! Clearly! It kinda feels like the Speedworld staff just moved over to Wild horse. The announcers sound like they have never been around a car EVER! This is AZ! We have a good 7-8 months of beautiful weather and a ton of car culture. No reason to have a crap facility run by incompetent management! I'm not asking for a billion dollar facility, or like the UAE, but for christ sake, get this place up and running like this metropolis deserves! As a AZ resident for life, I feel like this place needs to step up and get it together! With a decent updated facility, this place could bring in some wonderful events! P.S.
