Dollar General — Local services in Sunbright

Let me start off by saying, 99.9% of the time, this is a great place to shop and the staff are always kind and friendly and helpful. Until they hired someone new. My husband and daughter went in there on July 4th to get some last minute items and the “New Girl” was all mad and upset because her relief hadn’t come in yet. She was very rude to the customers in front of my husband. Then my husband is having his items rang up, my daughter who is Type One Diabetic, had an alarm go off because her glucose levels were high. This “New Girl” looks straight at my child (9 years old) and says, “ DONT DO THAT AGAIN!! My daughter had no clue what she had done, looks at my husband scared and confused then looked at the “new girl” and says “that’s my pump”, the “new girl” said “oh well what is it, paging you”? My husband said “that’s her insulin pump that literally keeps her alive”!! First of all, you don’t EVER address my child in a condescending way!!! Second, my diabetic child came home crying because someone chewed her out because of her medical devices that literally keep her alive!!! And last but not least, her harsh words could have ended very badly with my child having a severe low over being scared and upset!! I shop at this dollar general about 3 times a day. I live and work within a 3 mile radius so anything I need dollar general usually has it. Shauna, Tara , Angie, Karen and Blake are very diligent in keeping the shelves stocked with merchandise. The atmosphere is very friendly and I'm always greeted and thanked and asked to come back every time. Karen is an absolute joy and very efficient in answering any questions I may have. This store used to be well organized and stocked but now the shelves barely have anything on them and the prices have gone way up. I don't think it's the employees fault because most the time it's just 1 or 2 ppl working and they're are a lot of carts with stock on them to be put out on shelf's but Corporate needs to hire ppl to come in just to stock it or get them caught up. It's ridiculous because no pet food, no detergent and they never advertise the digital coupons or sales in store anymore. I can always count on something not being rung up right or my coupons not...
