We booked here because of its close proximity to Sturgis. We wanted to check in at our accommodations in Sturgis first thing the next morning, and this place offered cabins at a reasonable rate, and within an hour and a half ride.
One thing of note here, and I do believe I read something about it on their website and that was the steep slippery driveway. We were fortunate that it was dry when we arrived and when we left but it had been raining for days prior I guess and you can see the road was in poor shape because of that. If it had been wet I don’t believe we would’ve been able to make it up and it would’ve been pretty difficult getting out too. We were on motorcycles, BTW.
We rented cabin number three I believe, for four people. 3 of us were happy, one was not. That’s because he got the loft and the space between the floor and the roof was about 3 to 4 feet, suitable for children maybe but not an adult. The description of cabin 3 may have said that the loft was small or short on space I don’t recall.
It was clean and comfy. I think the cabin would’ve been perfect for just two people or 1 couple and a couple of kids. They would have had a blast up in that loft!
It was a nice quiet spot had a great sleep, even though the bed could use a new mattress and maybe some new pillows too. I would stay here again, but only...
Read moreWe were in cabin #6. Convenient to check in without actually seeing somebody. Just got a text when the cabin was ready, but this also means that nobody is available to ask questions. These are VERY TINY cabins. Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers did not have room for more than one person to walk around at a time (and we are not overweight/obese). There is no sink in the bathroom. After using the restroom or to brush your teeth you have to use the kitchenette sink. The cabin slept 4 people, but get they only had 3 bowls. This made eating ice cream and cereal difficult. We could not all eat at the same time. They did not have regular size spoons, only large spoons. Our family got by, but this would not work if your children were younger. |The towels in the kitchen were very old and thread bare. The blinds were dirty. The bedding was dusty. |The only place to sit that is not on a bed is the deck, but there is only 1 chair on the deck, so the other 3 people are still out of luck. |The website also says onsite fishing, but we have no idea where this would have been at, but again there was nobody to ask. My children were disappointed by this.|I would only stay if you are crashing late at night and need a place, as it is safe, but not for staying and actually being...
Read moreI was looking forward to staying in a cabin after a long road trip using motels and hotels, but my first impression wasn't very good. There was an overwhelming smell of mint when we opened the door. It did wear off when we left the door open for a while. |The cabin was also so small, which was made worse by having a three seater sofa, and a massive fridge. The bed was up against the wall and my husband had to wake me up to get out. I think it would have worked better turned by 90 degrees. |There were so many cupboards and drawers, holding random items which I doubt many people would use. There was also a shelf by the shower door and my husband cut his head when he banged into it.|In the morning the sun was shining and we were able to have a light breakfast on the veranda. It was so relaxing and we felt we could have stayed all morning, and we decided that overall we had enjoyed our stay, but would have preferred space...
