We booked here because of its close proximity to Sturgis. We wanted to check in at our accommodations in Sturgis first thing the next morning, and this place offered cabins at a reasonable rate, and within an hour and a half ride.

One thing of note here, and I do believe I read something about it on their website and that was the steep slippery driveway. We were fortunate that it was dry when we arrived and when we left but it had been raining for days prior I guess and you can see the road was in poor shape because of that. If it had been wet I don’t believe we would’ve been able to make it up and it would’ve been pretty difficult getting out too. We were on motorcycles, BTW.

We rented cabin number three I believe, for four people. 3 of us were happy, one was not. That’s because he got the loft and the space between the floor and the roof was about 3 to 4 feet, suitable for children maybe but not an adult. The description of cabin 3 may have said that the loft was small or short on space I don’t recall.

It was clean and comfy. I think the cabin would’ve been perfect for just two people or 1 couple and a couple of kids. They would have had a blast up in that loft!

It was a nice quiet spot had a great sleep, even though the bed could use a new mattress and maybe some new pillows too. I would stay here again, but only...

We were in cabin #6. Convenient to check in without actually seeing somebody. Just got a text when the cabin was ready, but this also means that nobody is available to ask questions. These are VERY TINY cabins. Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers did not have room for more than one person to walk around at a time (and we are not overweight/obese). There is no sink in the bathroom. After using the restroom or to brush your teeth you have to use the kitchenette sink. The cabin slept 4 people, but get they only had 3 bowls. This made eating ice cream and cereal difficult. We could not all eat at the same time. They did not have regular size spoons, only large spoons. Our family got by, but this would not work if your children were younger. |The towels in the kitchen were very old and thread bare. The blinds were dirty. The bedding was dusty. |The only place to sit that is not on a bed is the deck, but there is only 1 chair on the deck, so the other 3 people are still out of luck. |The website also says onsite fishing, but we have no idea where this would have been at, but again there was nobody to ask. My children were disappointed by this.|I would only stay if you are crashing late at night and need a place, as it is safe, but not for staying and actually being...

I was looking forward to staying in a cabin after a long road trip using motels and hotels, but my first impression wasn't very good. There was an overwhelming smell of mint when we opened the door. It did wear off when we left the door open for a while. |The cabin was also so small, which was made worse by having a three seater sofa, and a massive fridge. The bed was up against the wall and my husband had to wake me up to get out. I think it would have worked better turned by 90 degrees. |There were so many cupboards and drawers, holding random items which I doubt many people would use. There was also a shelf by the shower door and my husband cut his head when he banged into it.|In the morning the sun was shining and we were able to have a light breakfast on the veranda. It was so relaxing and we felt we could have stayed all morning, and we decided that overall we had enjoyed our stay, but would have preferred space...

We ended up not staying as we found the current state of cabin 4 did not match the online pictures. I specifically rented this unit as online it showed chairs that looked comfortable vs a couch only to find two very uncomfortable chairs as they lacked much padding and hit mid-back. The online pics also don’t show the beds on the main level touch 3 of the 4 walls. There were only 2 pillows on the bed so I went to look for more and found hair still on the pillow in the other room. We just didn’t feel comfortable in the cabin nor felt like it was clean so got a room at a local hotel that was much larger than the cabin and smelled and felt cleaner than the cabin had. We’ve stayed in this type of space before and I think they were just trying to be able to squeeze in as many people into the cabin as possible which might be preferred for families, but not for us.

Our family of 5 stayed in cabin #3 for one night. We very much enjoyed the peaceful surroundings after a couple of busy resort days, and the view from the front porch was beautiful. Our kids loved seeing the horses and visiting with a couple of friendly cats on the property. We reviewed pictures and the description carefully before arrival and reached out to Matt, who was super responsive, to confirm the sleeping arrangements ahead of time. Our teen loved the loft. We brought an air mattress for an extra bed in the loft, but our 7 & 10 year olds fit in the roomy twin bed together instead, so that did the trick. There was ample storage above the twin bed. We liked having what we needed to make meals in the kitchen—Decker’s is right down the road for groceries. Plenty of hot water for showers. We felt this was an excellent value in a great location.

I am almost afraid to give this such a high rating and then not be able to find a vacancy next time we come! Beautiful property with gorgeous views. Just outside Sundance and a half hour from Spearfish or Devil's Tower. The cabin is impeccable and was ready when we got here. Neighbors were quiet and kind. Deer out back. Took a hike to the top of the ridge next to us and saw the sun shining on Sundance Mountain. And just across the street is Cowgirl Pizza - delivered a great meat lover's and a salad. Think you can even get a six pack sent your way. Can't say enough good things.
