Hairworks — Local services in Sunnyside

After a bad experience trying to find a place to have my hair done the day before, it actually turned into a great experience yesterday. I had gone to the address on the website for "Neva's Salon" and noticed Hairworks down the street. So when Neva's didn't work out for me that's where I went. I called and Julie sqeezed me in. If I lived here Julie would be my stylist for life! She took time out to consult with me on color because I wanted a little bit of a change. Definitely not the best haircut. I had Lily and I could tell she was fairly new so my expectations already should’ve been lowered. She definitely seemed rushed and lacked attention to detail. It seemed hard for her to actually understand what I wanted. I wasn’t going in for something complicated like color. I just got a simple haircut with layers and it looks awful. I understand this is a small town and maybe the talent isn’t the best, but a good haircut should be something you should get universally. We are from out of town, needed a place to do our hair, we had a wedding that day. I called last minute thinking we were not going to be able to get anybody and explained to Julie our situation and that we were in Sunnyside for the wedding.
