Octane Adventures - Scenic Snowmobile Tours — Local services in Sunriver

Pleasantly surprised with the tour. Coming from Washington which has lesser restrictions than oregon state laws, I was pleased with our tour guide __ and Obsidian Flow snowmobiles, equally. I’m a moderate snowmobile driver who was used to riding out with no guide and was initially skeptical of my first ride WITH a guide. To my amazement, I realized how much more complex the trials were near bend vs. in seattle. I see why a guide was necessary. Our guide was super generous with our speed and was super informative and helpful with the lay of the land. He made sure to give enough distance between me and my group of four so that we had a chance to really “feel” the machines power. I highly recommend this outfit for your snowmobile experience as everything booked was done seamlessly online. We showed up a bit before our scheduled time and we’re hitting the trail within 15 mins of arrival.

What special day! We didn't want it to end!

Obsidian Flow went above and beyond in resolving some issues (our bad) related to getting a waiver signed by our niece's mom at the last minute. To make it easy on us they came to Sun River rather than having our niece's mom drive to the snow park (parent wasn't coming on the tour).

We were an hour late because of the above issues but Jason generously didn't reduce the duration of our trip-in fact he gave us some extra time. Jason was knowledgeable about the area which kept things both interesting and exciting. He took tons of photos so we didn't have to worry about pulling our phones out all the time. I was pleased he adapted the tour to our riding preference. I could not have been more stoked.

The cool thing was Jason was as psyched about the trip as we were. His positive vibe was contagious. We will be back!

Great excursion! Had a little trepidation before the guided tour as I'm a middle aged guy with no previous experience, but my fears were unfounded. Guide was very safety focused, the tour didn't deviate on any difficult or dangerous sections, and the sled was easy to learn and drive. Most of the time we traversed the trails between 15-25mph, but occasionally went a little faster. At the midway point we had the opportunity to really open up the throttle on a empty field - but nobody was forced to participate and everybody could travel at their own pace/level of comfort. Had plenty of picture taking opportunities/breaks, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. As a local, I absolutely plan on doing this again - hopefully with friends next time. 5 stars...
