Carrow's Supermarket — Local services in Surrey Township

Cashiers are extremely rude and condescending. I’m honestly shocked at how poor their customer service is. Their meat is horrifically moldy, I can’t believe it’s just sitting there on the shelf for some poor family to buy. My daughter wanted avocados, got home and she cut into one and it’s super moldy. I recently moved here and have only, fortunately, had to encounter this store a few times and after today I REFUSE to go back for anything. Their prices are not feasible. I sat down and went through item by item the brands and prices comparing to other grocery stores. If I would have went to Walmart, I would have saved 48.69, on the same products! Mind blown. Now I get it’s probably more either because they can’t order in bulk to get cheaper prices to the consumer but if you can’t supply “reasonable” prices (everyone’s higher but not as high as Carrows) then you should probably move out of the way and allow a bigger chain to come in. Sounds harsh but we care about feeding our families and not going broke. Many concerns about this store, most importantly is the health issue when it comes to old food on their shelves. Health department will be getting notified. I do feel bad slightly, I want to support a family owned grocery store but that support ends when it’s taking much more money out of our pockets for the same exact food and having to worry if one of my children would get sick just...

It’s one of those stores where if you don’t have to go you won’t go store! There customer service and management is ridiculously rude, disrespectful, an they DO NOT always sell deals there offering, the manager/some employees will not mark the items on sale correctly there for only giving certain customers the discount at register and will charge everyone original price(if you catch it and say something about the sale item advertised they literally act snotty and rude like your lying to them and will yell or get loud with an attitude towards customers, loud for the whole store to hear causing a scene and manager will make them pay full price or leave! Most of there items are very outdated yet they still charge full price or only take like up to .75 cents off, or like there meat it says it’s fresh but 90% of it is a grey ish brown that is sitting out and yet they over charge for it, they also tend to close up to 45 minutes earlier then they advertise, the store itself is organized and clean an normally fully stocked all the time, they do have pop machines for returning cans, as well as a claw machine and sticker/candy/toys/tattoo...

Best fried chicken ever. That being said, SOME of the employees here are rude as hell. Add’l reasons for rating: I’ve ordered ahead for my chicken and got there to find my order was never made, with deli closed down. Butcher found my order hanging right there on the board. Also I’ve literally stood in line at the deli and watched arguments over chicken substitution. Not everyone likes wings, drums, thighs, etc. Would a .50 (or Wever) up charge be so difficult for them so customers can be satisfied? And the chick talking to the customer was one of the rudest I’ve seen there (barb?). Personally, I had a cashier argue with me once that the TP I was buying wasn’t on sale when it rang up wrong. Needless to say when I pressed the issue and the sign was checked, I was correct, it was on sale. I’m sorry but their prices are so high already, I’m not about let the...
