I ordered a Scott A4. The next day, Scott called to say that the rod was out of stock. He didn't send a "Back Ordered" notice, he called. He offered to cancel the order or, if I wanted to wait, he could set me up with one of the new Flex models which he would have in stock in a few weeks. I agreed to wait on the Flex.

A few days later the bug bit again and I figured, "What the heck? Can't have a new rod without a new reel." (Makes perfect sense to me, anyway.) So I ordered a Nautilus X reel to match up with the Flex rod. The next day Scott called; yep, out of stock. This time, Scott promised to have the reel to me in less than two weeks. I got the confirmation on the shipping order today and it was less than two weeks. And the rod is on it's way too.

All of this activity, has been via e-mails and phone calls from both Scott and Sarah. You see, I live 2000 miles from their shop. When it would have been so easy for them to basically put me on hold, say they couldn't fill the order or ignore me completely they, instead went out of their way to provide me the ultimate in customer service. If these folks tell you they will do something believe them. They stand by their promises.

I walked in here ready to drop some money. All the dudes were on the computers (I’m not sure why. Is this a fly shop or a software company?) when I asked for some help, they acted annoyed that I would even ask and were pretty much useless. Obviously the guy didn’t work on commission because I felt like pretty woman in there trying to buy 20 dresses, with no luck. So I guess I’ll go to a different shop where I can actually talk with someone who cares enough to help. I give the place 3 stars because they do have a great selection and if you know exactly what you need and don’t expect any advice from the ‘salesmen’ there then this...

Finally arrived here to size-up my new waders and wading boots, my first ever to purchase! Staff was very kind, and offered me a few options to try on within my budget, and was able to figure out what to get. Very happy purchase and experience. My only beginner mistake was to ask for invaluable fly information and recommendations for a specific river. Typical beginner... I was also drooling over everything there, ton of beautiful rods, new & used/discounted, as many reels, and of course countless flies. Will definitely be back for more fly stuff! And look forward to starting...
