So great to finally have a local store downriver that not only sells competitive TCG product, but also hosts leagues and tournaments. My son and I are used to driving almost an hour away to hobby stores to play Pokemon TCG, but the scene is really growing here at Hyperion with both competitive and more casual league play. They're friendly to players of any level of experience, and sell not only sealed product, but plenty of singles and bulk cards from Pokemon and Yugioh as well; all at fair market prices. Don't hesitate to check them out!

this is a reply to the store's response. i stormed off because there was no point in staying. why should waste my time when you already said that you won't buy them? whatever the reason was for buying my cards in the past. how was i supposed to know that you wouldn't buy them out of a bag today? as i said before. I've sold cards to many stores. and I've been in the trading card scene for 20 years! and never have i been told that they need to be in a box. so up until today i had no way of knowing this policy. i hope you can see this from my point of view. we had to drive a long way just to find out that my cards aren't good enough. so yes i was upset.

so i tried to sell some cards today. i brought them in a bag. but apparently they weren't good enough. he said i had to have them in a box. I've been selling cards to many card shops over the years. not once have i been told that they need to be in a box. (I've even sold some cards in a bag to this store a while back. and there was never a problem with them.) he claimed that they were damaged even though he didn't even look at them. most of those cards had been pulled out of a booster box recently. they were all in fine condition. i also tried to sell rare cards but they weren't good enough either i guess.

i went in there willing to spend a lot of money. but i walked out not spending a dime. all i wanted was a couple dollars to be shaved off of the large sum i would have paid. and to clear some of my bulk. i do NOT recommend coming here. they don't deserve...

Owner is incompetent, second time this happened. Walked in the store and got completely ignored, he spoke to the other two customers that came AFTER me. Owners excuse was I never spoke up , customer agreed since he didn’t speak up either yet the owner spoke to him… strange. Have no clue why he would be enticed to do this, nothing happened I’ve done business here before. Knew something was up when I heard at GAMERS GAUNTLET that Hyperion was awful. Guess you lost a big buyer, weird someone would want that…. You reap what you sow bud.

Edit: it’s quite disheartening to see that the owner would lie in response to save his business I was not addressed in anyway and blatantly IGNORED for absolutely no reason with his own customer agreeing with me in front of him. You responded by saying you spoke to me during the second visit, yet nothing was said about the first. There’s obviously something deeper going on. No proper business should treat a paying customer wrongly for absolutely no reason.. I’ll keep my business at other locations that respect customers or even people just...

I recently made the mistake of selling my cherished 20+ years old collection of Pokemon and Yugioh cards to this store, only to turn around and find I had accepted an offer that was less than 5% of market value according to TCGplayer. I believed the offer was fair, but the cards were actually worth thousands of dollars more. When I called hours later after realizing my mistake, I was told that any negotiation was impossible due to the time spent sorting them. As a customer, I feel deeply disrespected and unfairly taken advantage of by this store. They did not advise me to shop around or research the value of my cards, nor have they taken any accountability. The experience has left me with severe regret and heartbreak, and while I understand there are not many local game stores in the area, I urge everyone to avoid doing business with this store...
