I booked a dome stay expecting a cool and comfortable experience, but it was a total disappointment. It was advertised as pets welcome with air conditioning. The dome was covered in cheap plastic that heats up easily, and the “cooling” came from a portable AC unit that maybe pushed 12,000 BTUs but couldn’t handle the 89-degree heat inside, despite it being 95 degrees outside. It was unbearable, and after just 5 minutes, we had to leave as I was perspiring and my dog was panting relentlessly. When we asked the host, for a refund, she refused, forcing us to go through Airbnb to get our money back. Her response stated that we could be moved to a different domestic, made of the same plastic material and put in the sun, and it may be “a bit cooler.” Avoid this place—poor setup and awful customer...

BUGS BUGS BUGS!!! I knew I would see some bugs since the location is quite wild, but finding spiders in the bathroom was definitely a shock. There’s no pest control or any help available, so I ended up feeling anxious about bugs all night. I’m the type of person who can sleep through noise or uncomfortable temperatures, but not when I feel unsafe.

There’s also no Wi-Fi, and the cell signal is terrible - I could barely make phone calls.

Pros: The price is reasonable compared to motels in Hansville, and it’s very close to Factory Butte or Moon Overlook. There’s also a fire pit you can enjoy. Total of ~5 domes so it’s a quiet and small residence. If you have camping experience, this place might be a good...

Stayed in Dome #3 " Juniper " absolutely spectacular star gazing. I have one reactive dog and this dome was set far enough away she didn't even care. Bring your own water. Fire pit and grill on site. The bonus modern outhouse style bathroom was a great way for us to recoup after a long camping trip. A little close to the road but the AC/Fan or Heater on you could barely hear anything!

Fantastic first dome experience and highly recommend. Would be great for a one night stay- few days in the Capital Reef area!
